The New Little House

When I first began this blog in 2012, I had settled in Central Kansas (after a short stint in Colorado) to be with my soon to be husband. Having grown up in Northern Michigan I felt a connection to the stories of Laura Ingalls Wilder, which I read with my mom growing up. Wisconsin to Kansas was, to me, darn near the same as my Michigan to Kansas move.

After some time in Kansas we headed into the Rocky Mountains of Northern Colorado. While not quite the same as Lauras next move to Minnesota, it’s still rural and wild here.

We are still in Colorado and while we don’t have intentions on moving (and certainly not to South Dakota), I still feel a connection to Laura’s stories. Life in Colorado isn’t easy. There are blizzards, hints of homesteading, hunting and other hardships. But life in Colorado is great, full of adventures, sunshine, and good neighbors.

Hang out with me and get a glimpse of life in The New Little House.
